Join Cub Scouts:

Cub scouts are part of a pack, which is a large group of boys and girls that meet once a month to have fun and learn something new.  Dens are smaller groups segregated by age and gender.  Dens meet at least once a month to work on age-appropriate requirements.

Lions

Kindergarten

Lion scouts, along with their adult helpers begin to explore the world around them.  Activities are scoped to smaller bodies and shorter attention spans, but are still a great way to have fun and interact with the scouting community.

Tigers

First grade

Tigers and their adult helpers experience more of their community at large, having opportunities to visit fire stations, parks, as well as learning about scouting fundamentals like the buddy system and safe hiking.

Wolves

Second grade

Bears

Third grade

Wolf scouts begin to learn about conservation, physical fitness, healthy nutrition, and the world around them.  As they grow, adult helpers are no longer required, but every meeting has two-deep leadership led by trained adults.

Bears are trusted to be more responsible.  They will learn more about tool safety, including how to care for and handle a pocket knife safely (with parental consent).  Bears build on their outdoor skills as well.

Webelos

4th and 5th grades

Webelos in fourth grade and Arrow of Light scouts in fifth grade are preparing for Scouts BSA.  They will learn outdoor skills, first aid, water rescue, and outdoor cooking.  As older scouts, they have more and longer camping opportunities.
